This project was an entire home remodel for a very social family in La Jolla. Our clients, the homeowners, liked to entertain large parties of guests on their roof deck which has an amazing view of the water (but is up 2 flights of stairs).
Through the remodel process we made decisions to treat the pathway to from the front door to the roof deck as a journey, widening stairways + hallways, displaying artwork, + setting up the guests with great viewpoints throughout the 2 story walk to the roof deck.
